Let’s have a chat about another very simple but powerful technique that will help you to create the world you want around you. It’s one you may know about already, but one you may not yet be using in your reality creation.
If you look at your life right now, can you tell me what is good about it right now?
Go on, what’s good about your life right now in this moment.
Are you struggling to think of something?
I am willing to bet that there are millions of people who would gladly swap their life for yours right now.
Huh? You may say, how can there possibly be people who are worse off than me in the world.
Seriously? You’ve just got to think about it?
Think about this for a moment. If you are reading this you are likely to have running water, a roof over your head, a computer, money, an idea where your next meal is coming from and are probably not worrying about someone dropping a bomb on your house or arresting your family.
Whatever you have in your life is something to be grateful for and to thank the universe for having.
You see, most people go through life wishing they had more, never happy with what they have. This sends out a message of lack and scarcity to the universe. If you are not grateful for what you have, why should the universe give you more? If you were to give a beggar on the street a dollar and they turned and said, “A dollar? You are so mean, I can’t believe you in your job and earning so much more than me only gave me a dollar”, would you actually want to give them any more?
Expressing your gratitude for what you have in your life is encouraging more of it to you because you are saying, “I really like this and really appreciate having it, and I’d like more please because I’m worth it.”
Starting a gratitude journal is a good way of doing this. Wake up in the morning and feel gratitude for what you have, go to sleep at night being grateful for the wonderful day you had. Be grateful paying your bills because you are thanking a company for their service and paying to support the jobs of other people like you who are earning their living from a job. Be grateful for your health, for your mind, for your ability to do whatever you can do.
Gratitude is an extremely powerful force and one you need to be harnessing in your life. It’s a part of recognising that you are responsible for everything you have in your life. In the previous issue of this newsletter we talked about taking responsibility for what you have in your life.
Gratitude is a form of taking responsibility for all the positive things you have in your life and acknowledging that you, and no one else, created them. You are acknowledging your ability, and power, to create good things for yourself, and as such, opening yourself up to creating more of them.
Start today by taking action and being grateful for everything you have in your life, and enjoy the abundance that will flow to you.
